The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank's mission is to fulfill the wishes of eye donors and their families to help another overcome blindness. The families of the donors below have chosen to honor the legacy left by their loved ones: the legacy of sight given to another through eye donation. Each of these donors moves, humbles and inspires us every day.

In Loving Memory of
October 17, 1980 - October 7, 2012
My fiancé, Ben, died in October. While the experience has been the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with, I've learned so much. At first I was angry that the man I loved had to die to save a life, I now understand why. There is a reason he had to leave, and someone got to stay. I'll probably never know. Ben was my world, and when your world ends, there's not much you can do to save yourself from all the pain. Being only 20 years old, I haven't been exposed to anything this tragic. Ben was my first love. He was my best friend. I'm not a religious person, but I like to feel comforted by thinking he is hanging out with me still. I go to the same places he took me to, alone, hoping I can feel the same feelings I did then. Ben was perfect in so many ways. He loved me unconditionally, and I did him as well.
