The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank's mission is to fulfill the wishes of eye donors and their families to help another overcome blindness. The families of the donors below have chosen to honor the legacy left by their loved ones: the legacy of sight given to another through eye donation. Each of these donors moves, humbles and inspires us every day.

In Loving Memory of
My beautiful daughter Kathleen Patricia, age 31, left this world much too early in Sept. of 2008. She was my best friend and I can not express how much I miss her. Both of her corneas were donated through the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank. The recipient of one cornea was a man from Colorado. The recipient of the other was an 85 year lady from Japan since no match was found in the United States. Kisayo wrote our family a wonderful letter. She said “life was so hard from me after losing sight in both eyes, but now I can see clearly in my left eye because of the cornea from America”. I know in my heart Kathleen was pleased she was able to help this lady and the other recipients of her other organs. Since receiving this letter it has been my mission to have everyone to sign up to be an organ and tissue donation. - Pat Thomas
