Donor Tributes

The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank's mission is to fulfill the wishes of eye donors and their families to help another overcome blindness. The families of the donors below have chosen to honor the legacy left by their loved ones: the legacy of sight given to another through eye donation. Each of these donors moves, humbles and inspires us every day.

In Loving Memory of

Christopher Aaron Gist

August 1, 1978 - April 8, 2017

As I've always been told, the eyes are a window to our soul. My son's eyes were icredible and he saw life in its truest form. He spent the last three months of his life "on the road" and ministering the love of Jesus along the way. When his car was returned to me there were seven Bibles and 2 complete CD sets of the Bible in his trunk, He was much too young to die but God saw differently. Knowing that his body was used to help others would have pleased him. He rests in peace now, buriied with our 21 year old kitty, and I'll miss him forever. Chris was 6'5" and the love of my life. Cherish what he gave you and know he would be proud that you can now see. Use his precious gift wisely and I hope we meet someday. This was a gift of love...
