Casper Ghosts Host Donate Life Wyoming Night

The Casper Ghosts Baseball Team, the rookie affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, hosted a "Donate Life Wyoming" night to promote eye, organ and tissue donation. The event was modeled after the "Step Up To The Plate" program put on by Major League Baseball and Donate Life America, the national organ & tissue donation coalition.

The event was a joint effort between Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, Donor Alliance, Donor Awareness Council and the Wyo. Dept of Health. The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank provided Donate Life Wyoming basball hats to the first 1,000 attendees. Donor Alliance and the Donor Awareness Copuncil provided educational materials, personnel and additional give-aways. The Wyoming Department of Health provided the team with special jersyes honoring eye, organ and tissue donation.

Of Health's "Wyoming Cares, Wyoming Shares" fund for donation awareness. During the game, the jerseys were in a silent auction. Winning bidders got autographs and photos with the team. Proceeds go back into the fund that promotes eye, organ and tissue donation in Wyoming.
